Here are some of the most asked questions when it comes to Hot Rod fuel hose.
Q. What is PTFE hose?
A. PTFE is a specific chemical composition commonly referred to as Teflon. We chose to only offer PTFE lined AN braided hoses due to better chemical resistance with common automotive fluids and specifically the higher ethanol content gasoline that is offered today.
Q. How much do I have to pay for shipping?
Shipping is free on all orders over $99.00 US. On orders under $99 we charge an affordable shipping and handling rate of $7.99. Heavy items shipped to Canada like fuel tanks will incur an oversized shipping rate calculated at checkout.
Q. How fast do I get my AN PTFE hose and PTFE fittings?
A. Products shipped directly from Hot Rod fuel hose are shipped Monday to Friday and always in order to hit the next closest shipping cut off time. Typically an order will arrive to the US in 2-5 Business days, and in Canada in 2-9 Business days depending on location. Products shipped from third party vendors will ship Monday to Friday using USPS priority shipping, FedEx ground or UPS ground within the USA. Canada third party orders are shipped using Purolator.
Q. What is PTFE hose usually used for?
A. Fuel lines and Transmission cooler lines are the two most common applications for our PTFE lined AN braided hose and AN fittings. Many guys use our AN PTFE hose and AN fittings for LS swaps, EFI installations, and good old reliable carbs. Typically fitting adapters are needed to convert to an AN style fitting. If you are not sure please reach out and we would be happy to help with your automotive plumbing install.
Q. Why are your prices so good?
A. We made a significant investment into quantity of product in order to offer the best pricing on AN braided PTFE hose and AN PTFE fittings. We wanted to offer the best combination of value, quality, and service for our customers.
Q. Do you sell in any retail stores?
A. Our products are available at One Guy Garage - Auto Parts in Lethbridge Alberta we are developing a retail program to be launched in late 2021.
Q. What are the fittings made from?
A. Our PTFE hose end fittings are made from 6061 Aluminum alloy and anodized to give it a sharp look. We also engrave our logo to really make them pop.
Q. Where are you located?
A. Our home office is located at 3213 2 Ave N in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. We have warehouse facilities across Canada and the United states.
Q. What is the warranty on your products?
A. All AN PTFE hose and Fittings sold by Hot Rod fuel hose include a Limited Lifetime Warranty. You can view our Warranty page for more specific information. If a hose or fitting fails we will repair or replace it. Products manufactured by other brands will rely on their individual warranty policy.
Q. Do you sell anything other than PTFE AN Hose and AN fittings?
A. We have recently expanded our product offering to include multiple options to make all of your automotive plumbing installs easier. This includes things like fuel pumps, fuel filters, transmission adapters, unique fittings, and aftermarket fuel tanks and fuel cells. We are always adding new products so come and visit us often.

Q. I have a discount code but it didn't work on 3rd party brands.
A. Unfortunately due to agreements that must be signed with certain vendors we are not able to provide discounts on these products. We do try to be as competitive on pricing as possible.
Q. Can I use your hose and fittings for power steering lines?
No - you must use hoses rated for power steering applications.
